You might remember that last year Grapevine ran a pilot training programme alongside Larger Us to help people to have more conversations about climate change in their community.
It went so well that we’re bringing it back, and this time, it’s headed straight to Ball Hill!
We’re really excited to be working once again with our friends at Larger Us to deliver the programme - they are only working with a handful of organisations in the country on this project, so it’s a pretty unique opportunity!
WHY WE CHOSE BALL HILL...
“Ball Hill has an incredibly vibrant community which is facing many complex & interconnected issues such as litter, air pollution, lack of green spaces, bank closures, anti-social behaviour and absence of community places.
1.5 years ago we brought together interested residents and the idea of Destination Ball Hill was born. Since then "Ball Hill-ians" have become organised under the DBH banner and are fighting to turn around the negative narrative and make Ball Hill a better, cleaner and more social place.
Ball Hill is the perfect community to be offered this amazing training, as they will use these skills & learning to take their Organising to the next level and engage even more fellow Ball Hill-ians to come together and create their vision.” - Leonie Schmid, Ball Hill Community Organiser.
WHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR?
For this next stage of the pilot, we’ll be training members of the teaching team at Stoke Primary School as well as members of the wider Ball Hill community. Could this be YOU?
This training is for you if you’d like to talk with people about issues like air quality, littering, the lack of green space, or climate change in general.
If you live or work in Ball Hill or the surrounding areas and would like to be involved or want to find out more info email Leonie: lschmid@grapevinecovandwarks.org

Valacyclovir is widely recognized for treating viral infections, but its effectiveness against conditions like chlamydia and yeast infections raises important questions. While chlamydia is a bacterial infection and yeast infections are fungal, Valacyclovir’s antiviral properties are not designed to address these issues. To gain a deeper understanding of its applications and limitations, read Dr TelX’s expert article.
Bringing climate conversations to Ball Hill, especially in a community that’s already working hard to tackle issues like air quality and green space, is a fantastic way to empower local residents. It’s great to see how the program aims to build confidence and equip people with the skills to engage in meaningful discussions about climate change. Plus, having the support of a group over the 6-week challenge sounds like a wonderful way to stay motivated and make a real impact. Kudos to Grapevine and Larger Us for creating this opportunity, and I hope it inspires many "Ball Hill-ians" to get involved and help shape a cleaner, greener future! https://templatecalendar.com/
