Building Collective Power in Coventry
We’re organising people with energy and ideas for change, for a Coventry where everyone has a say through collective action and campaigning.
What is the Ecosystem?
This ecosystem is a living network. It’s made up of initiatives, leaders, and ideas that connect, support, and grow together. From tackling loneliness to reimagining public spaces, from championing creativity to campaigning for inclusion – it’s all connected. Change doesn’t happen alone. It happens when we come together, share strengths, and take action on what matters.
This is just the beginning. The ecosystem is growing – and so is the community power behind it. We’ve been listening and learning from the initiatives we’ve helped to spark and develop over the past couple of years.
The message was clear:
-
People want their voices heard.
-
People want to challenge injustice together.
-
People want to lead change, not just watch it happen.
-
People want to fight for equality.
-
People want to hold power to account.
So we’ve been building something exciting - a community ecosystem for change.
This isn’t a project or a programme. It’s a network of solidarity, a movement where lived experience matters and local leaders take the lead. It’s a place where care turns into action and change can happen. Together, we’re creating a Coventry where people have a voice and the power to act.
We call it the Connecting for Good Ecosystem – and it’s already full of life.

Why Does This Matter?
This is about change, real urgent change.
We want a city that is fairer, more compassionate and equal. Where lived experience matters, care leads to action and injustice is challenged together. Because real change doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when we come together, share our strengths, and act on what we care about.
The ecosystem is about building power in community – so no one has to fight alone.

Meet the Core Team
Behind every branch of the ecosystem is a strong root system.
The core team acts as the connector, strategist, and support hub of the CFG ecosystem. They help to nurture, coordinate, and amplify grassroots leadership and action across the city.

Rose
"I would like to see a Coventry that embraces the diversity of the city. And everyone's voices are represented by a narrative that is for the people by the people. By supporting each other, we will have a powerful voice that can not be ignored by those in power and will be recognised by everyone."

Ade
"I hope the ecosystem will capture and channel the collective energy of our city’s diverse communities.
I hope that the ecosystem will help us display a united front in confronting and addressing all forms of social injustice.
Most importantly, I hope it will inspire people to recognise their own power — and to understand that, together as a movement, we can challenge and transform power structures that work against the interests of our local communities."

Amandeep
"I want this ecosystem to make Coventry more connected, collaborative, and inclusive; breaking down groups that are isolated so communities, organisations and residents can share resources, amplify each other’s work and shape a city that reflects everyone’s needs and strengths. All with the goal to make Coventry a better place for its people."

Emmanuelle
"I’m hoping the ecosystem will give every Coventry Citizen the opportunity, strength and resilience to do what is morally right in our communities, whether that be holding wrong doers to account (even if they sit in a board room and live in a mansion) and to promote working together to improve our city to be the place we all need it to be."

Mel
"Coventry needs grassroots unity, community groups looking after one another, building city-wide strength and making those in power listen. I think we all want a fairer, more equal Cov where our collective power fights injustice and everyone counts."
