About the Event

The honeymoon period is over. Conspiracy theories are rife. People are feeling like scapegoats. Gone is the Thursday night clap for carers and the rainbows for the NHS.

If we want to continue to confront the pandemic and its fall out then we need to carry on unlocking the power and love in our communities, our willingness to act and to share our thoughts, experiences and insights.

We held our first summit on the 4 July 2020. At the time things felt strange but hopeful. 155 people turned out.

We heard local people speak about a strong sense of community spirit and knew we needed to act quickly before it wavered - they were worried about that too.

We produced a report - read it here. We spoke about the findings on BBC Cov and Warks radio and shared them far and wide.

We had 40 follow-up conversations and have since trained another cohort of Changemakers who want to keep this sense of community spirit at the forefront of our minds.

But it’s still not enough. We want to do more. We need to do more. Love, hope and optimism need a strategic push. There’s a new power in town - come and join us.

Connecting for Good Cov is stepping forward to keep community spirit plus community action alive and well.

Join us to think about how we pull the love back.
